Installing ESXi 6.5

VMware has made vSphere 6.5 GA yesterday and like everyone, i was also very much excited to try the features and so i downloaded the software and started to setup my lab. As i do it i thought of blogging them just so that anyone can go through them and comes handy to me while preparing for the certification exams because there is always a chance of missing some silly things. So let me jump in.

I am using VMware Workstation for my labs and i created a VM with ESXi 6 as below. Let the VM boot from the ESXi 6.5 iso.

Nothing much changed in the installation as you might have already noticed. Of course, this cannot be any more simpler than this and so i believe VMware has not changed much since ESXi 4 days. You can access ESXi using the built in web client as below.
